About the Book

Malcolm and Steffi Frazier and their partners, Ben Wang and Su Chang, engineered a miraculous escape on the Journada Del Muerto. They'd battled hordes of Indians and slave traders directed by the Tong Of The Black Hand to capture Su Chang. In Arizona, they could begin operating their recently acquired Rose Pit mine, unearthing the copper to construct a gigantic transatlantic telegraph cable from the U. S. to Europe. Mines that meet their production schedules will become fabulously wealthy. Others will face financial ruin in the desert wasteland.

A mammoth competitor rises up to crush the upstart mine. Meanwhile, the dreaded Tong finds Su Chang and challenges Steffi. Facing total ruin, Malcolm welds together a fighting team of miners and teamsters, then despairs when loyal men die for the cause. Financiers playing for huge stakes are caught up in the battles and risk their lives in the bowels of the earth.

This final episode of The Black Hand Series features spectacular battles and escapes from Arizona to Mexico and New York to California.

About the Author

Ernie Frazier, a grandson of Kansas pioneers who came west in a covered wagon, was raised near ol’ Dodge City, the infamous cowtown that helped make the west wild.

He has also lived in Arizona and Texas and travels extensively in many of the areas he writes about, touring mines and ancient ruins in the U. S. and Mexico.

His experiences--some of which are vividly revisited in his writings--provide much of his inspiration. As a young soldier he was exposed to the underbelly of life while stationed on the Arizona-Mexico border. Later he began a career which provides financial products and services to estate and business owners. His knowledge of banking comes from having served on a bank's board of directors, feeding cattle, and by selling operating businesses to investors.
