About the Book

Whether you are continuing your journey with me via these Spirit Animal Tales or whether you missed my first volume, The Voice of Coyote, and are leaping unwarned into this spiritual realm, I welcome you.

These are tales that ‘I’ have been blessed with, passed to me from various Spirit Animals, mainly Coyote. They are filtered through ‘my’ experiences; people, places, things, & incidences that brought me to where I am today.  There is no conscious effort on my part to accurately recreate any person, place, thing, or incident. If anyone has a button or two pushed, that’s probably meant to be.

That said, the path lies before & may you enjoy. Peace!

This one is for my beloved companion & wife, Linda

for Uncle Ike,

and for the ever-wandering WhiteDog

About the Author

Born in Southern Bavaria in 1949, Doug Hodges was raised in the foothills of the Colorado Rockies. After a variety of endeavors, including a newspaper career spanning 21 years, Doug went on a Quest in the Big Bend area of Texas. There he was told by Raven to quit his job, sell everything he owned, and go on the road. He would be enlightened, entertained, and most importantly, taken care of. The main idea was to let go of control and to learn to trust.

From some 70,000 miles of travels, Doug has been given poems, songs, stories & images. This volume, & the previous book, The Voice Of Coyote, from the same publisher, are his attempts to share these gifts.

Doug was led to the Rio Grand Valley of Texas where he met his wife, long-suffering and ever-faithful companion, Linda Rubio, and settled down as photographer, writer, musician and eBay entrepreneur, still recording images, songs and tales as they are given.
