About the Book

Three coinciding incidents led directly to the publication of Flock of Dogs. I was perusing my first volume of poetry when I realized that not a one of my historical poems had been included. My Aunt Mary in California passed away on the morning after her 95 birthday. I was led on an incredible photographic journey into Mexico. Thus, with an introspective mind, through kaleidoscopic eyes, moving along my Spirit-guided path, and from the mouth of my Grandaughter Gwendolyn, comes this continuance of my life and times. May these poems jar a few memories, elicit chuckles, bring pause, and above all entertain.

About the Author

By my mid-40s, I had achieved everything I had ever dreamed about, everything I thought I had ever wanted. Yet, there was an emptiness inside so I went on a Quest in the Big Bend area. There the Spirit Raven told me to quit my job, sell what I owned, and travel; that the Spirits would guide and take care of me. I just had to let go of self. This I did and thus I was, for some 70,000 miles. Raven was my guide but more often than not Coyote was the voice, to me and through me. My books of short stories come from this connection. My poetry books came out of the fact that I've written poetry since the 5th grade. Words and music are the saving if not the redeeming part of my soul. Also, with my realization that as we are unique each and every day, still we are built of the things about us, past and present. So I capture words, music, images, to share as best I can. I was recently honored to be included in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry of Executives and Professionals.
