About the Book

Repeatedly and frequently means time and again, but is more clumsily stated. Over and over. Mankind and the animal kingdom are habitual repeaters of their actions and behavior patterns. It can be said that there is nothing new under the sun. There are other ways of saying “History repeats itself”. You could say the same thing in a different manner. “What has been will be again, and what has been done, will be done again”. This book illustrates how we never learn a lesson, but continue repeating the errors of the past. Adolf Hitler did not learn from Napoleon Bonaparte that attacking the Russian homeland in winter is fraught with danger, and will end up in a terrible defeat. The United States did not learn anything from entering into a war with North Korea after World War II, because, despite the fact that she did not win, she continued going to war with other Asian countries within the next few decades in Vietnam, Laos. Cambodia and Afghanistan – never coming out as clear-cut winners. Small countries frequently defend themselves against larger countries. Throughout history, animals continue to suffer from loss of habitat, climate changes, and human hunting. Yet, humans never seem to learn a lesson in attempting to preserve animal lives. If we can’t help them, who else can? Each time that a large number of animals are lost, they seem to have forgotten preservation tactics. There used to be a statement “Once bitten, twice shy”. It does not seem so anymore.
