Meet Hunter Ironhorse, a born warrior seeking peace.  Hunter is half-white, half-native American…and 100% bewildered.  Follow this combat hardened veteran, turned writer, struggling with the demons of his past, to take you on a journalistic tour through the destruction of his Indian ancestors, his Hispanic and Black friends, from the killing fields of Vietnam, to the psycho wards of the Veteran’s hospital.

From this dark passage through the fog of a drug dulled mind, he glimpses what really happened in another killing field…the plowed over fields of his past.

He must face the hypocrisy, the bigotry, and put to rest the ghosts of unsolved killings that blight his blood, and haunts his dreams.  Somehow, he must find a way to come to terms with his estranged family, and forgive them…and himself, if he is to ever have peace.  He has survived the horrors of war, the brink of madness, but…can he survive what his probing may unearth…from the layers OF HUMAN SOIL?

About the Author

E.R. is the author of “Riders On The Storm,” “The Janus Code,” & “Save Them For The Junk Man.”

His fictionalized biography, “Of Human Soil,” was written in a winter of discontent, published the summer of 2005.

He lives with his poet, songwriter, author, wife... Carolyn, on their cattle ranch in Weatherford Texas.
