About the Book

Joshua Clayton Fennimore, the Boy Preacher with the Plan of Salvation, became the most popular televangelist in America because he was clad in the Whole Armor of God and he fought the Devil and his minions with unmatched zeal. But he also had an unquenchable thirst for carnal knowledge of Emily Sue Slocum, until she became pregnant and they were married. Then there was Marcia Delgado and Emily Sue was killed in a boating accident on Harmony Lake.

After that Joshua built the Emily Sue Slocum School for Devil Fighters. He moved an earthquake from the New Madrid Fault to the San Andreas, and he challenged the Devil to the Battle of Armageddon. But the ghost of Emily Sue haunted his dreams, and the School for Devil Fighters opened, but Armageddon came in the courtroom in East Dexter, Alabama, and the Battle was fought over the body of Marcia Delgado. And the money. Yes, the money. With surprising revelations that put East Dexter on the map of Alabama.

About the Author

Henry Buchanan, the Georgia-bred story teller and astute theologian, spins a tale of the struggle of Good and Evil on the TV screen, in the Forty Winks Motel, and in the Ocmulgee County Circuit Court in East Dexter, Alabama. Already well known for his Southern tales in And the Goat Cried, Buchanan moves into the field of theological fiction with The Televangelist.

The author holds the degree of Ph.D. in Theology. He has been outspoken on social issues in the pulpit of Baptist churches, an effective chaplain and counselor in hospitals, and a listener to many tales of marital woes.

Buchanan now writes full time in Calloway County, Kentucky and travels extensively in the Bible Belt. The Televangelist is the first in a trilogy of theological novels to be published.

He is also the author of The Marriage Myth, published by 1stBooks Library.
