Fred took us to the airport on Monday morning and had to leave before we boarded the plane because he had a meeting to attend in the city. When it came time to board, Karen and I were allowed to go on first. I took my seat, fastened Karen in her seatbelt by the window, and just said in prayer: "Lord, all I asked was that you be glorified."
Suddenly, as I sat in my seat, the windows of heaven were opened and the love of God was pouring over me and through me like waves of warm oil. Karen had taken off her seat belt, had pushed in front of me and was running up and down the aisle. I was paying no attention to her thinking the stewardess would look after her.
As I pinched myself on the arm and could feel it, I thought: "No one will ever believe this!" The stewardess came up to me and said: "Mrs. Smith, I'm sorry but this plane has been grounded because the airport in Boston is all fogged in; you and your daughter need to disembark now."
I didn't want to leave so I asked her if she would call my husband. It was my way of finding an excuse to stay there. Immediately she was looking for something on my watch, a bracelet or something around my neck. She evidently thought I might be experiencing a medical problem. I know I was in a trance, but I was very much aware of what was going on around me.
As I sat there overwhelmed by everything that was happening, the 23rd Psalm was going through my mind:

In a day and age when faith in a personal God who is concerned about our everyday lives is considered bogus, this is a compelling story of an individual who has found reality in a faith walk and a God who is faithful. There are too many divine interventions to chalk up life as a series of coincidences. God is faithful as He has promised!
This book is about a personal relationship with a living God who rewards those who diligently seek Him.
About the Author
Margaret Smith lives with her husband, Pastor Fred Smith, in Waterville, NB. She attended Houghton College in Houghton, NY, and was honored as an honorary alumnus of Gordon College in Beverly Farms, MA. Over the years she has been involved as a Director of Christian Education and has been active in an International Student Ministry, Single Moms' Ministry, teaching Adult Sunday School and being a Ladies' Retreat Speaker. She is Coordinator for MannaRelief Ministeries in New Brunswick and conducts a Monthly Interdenominational Bible Study.
