About the Book

The Drew Kasey Chronicles is a series of books that takes Drew through a portion of his life. He has an exciting family who are close to his age. Several of them will become a part of the drama and possibly a little of the light romance that will unfold over the series.

I asked myself a question to use as a guide. "Can a boy who has lost his dad at an early age, grow up to be a positive role model in society or will he become another casualty?"

If David could defeat the giant Goliath and become a leader of a small country, which was blessed by God, can a kid like Drew become a positive influence and a leader in modern America?

The characters are fictional although many names have been pulled out of the hat. If you see someone you would like to be, just imagine yourself as the character, and have some fun.

Enjoy the book.

About the Author

Dale Garriott was born in Jasper County, Indiana. The best place a kid could have been brought up in my day was right where I lived. It was a small town but the largest in the county. Getting into trouble was hard to do. The author wasn't exactly the best student through his high school days in either English or Literature. He preferred to give oral reports but did not like to take the time to effectively present the conclusion and often defied his teacher by commenting, “That’s all I have to say!”

Like a lot of the baby boomers it took more than a teacher emphasizing the importance of communicating effectively to get the point across. Sometime later as an employee of a large communication corporation, he worked as a training instructor and was assigned to completely change the format and material of the technical courses he taught.

Later after taking an early retirement package from his employer he watched one of his daughters struggle as she tried to write some fiction novels. She stopped before completing either. This motivated him to try his hand at writing himself.

He now lives in a Dallas suburb with his wife and has three daughters in the area.
