About the Author

Dr. Ramage’s career spans over forty years in the Field of Human Services. He holds graduate degrees in both Clinical Social Work and Behavioral Psychology, followed by post graduate training in behavior modification, behavior and cognitive therapy. He is a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, a Fellow and Diplomate in Medical Psychotherapy, and is an Activity Consultant Certified with the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals.  He is listed in Who's Who in the American Academy of Human Services and in Who's Who Among Service Professionals.  Dr. Ramage has practiced in both the public and private sectors in mental health and nursing home industry. During his career, he has worked as a clinician, educator, administrator, manager, consultant, and is the author of numerous professional articles and books.

He presently serves on the Staff of The Bibb Medical Center in Centreville, Alabama, a large medical, skilled nursing home, retirement village, and human services complex.  Dr. Ramage has extensive professional experience with programs serving older persons and has developed policy intervention strategies for practitioners, administrators, educators and researchers in the area of gerontology. He is best known for administering a home mental health component and the development of intergenerational practice models. Dr. Ramage resides in Northport, Al with his wife, Margaret, where he maintains a private practice.
