About the Book

Welcome  to  another exciting adventure with Skeeter, the foot high, ever-so-smart dog.  Remember in our first story in the Peacocks & Hollyhocks series, A Visit to the Farm, Skeeter took you on a tour of the farm visiting the various pens, barns, corrals and gardens and searching for the source of a strange feather.

Now we are off again.  This time we are going to town, getting lost for a very silly reason, finding out all the scary things in a city such as automobiles, bigger dogs, cats, and meeting new friends.

Grampa Mac, Granny and other human and animal life from the first book rejoin us in Lost in Town and we hope you will enjoy our “mis-adventures.”

About the Author

M. Joyce McClelland was born in the small town of Lovelock, in central Nevada.  She grew up there, Santa Maria, Ca., Fallon, Nv, and Hawthorne, Nv.  This may account for some of the adventuresome and wanderlust personality that makes her writing irresistible to young and old alike.

The “Ink” in her veins was inherited from her grandmother who was known in Northern Nevada for her wonderful poetry and portrayals of places around the state.  M. Joyce started her writing career at the beginning, folding and delivering papers.  She progressed to writing columns, publishing newsletters and then on into photography, dark room skills, typesetter, and editor.

Now she spends her time near the Ocean that she loves.  She is still involved in writing the newsletter for the VFW.  And words are still swarming around in her head.

            M. Joyce has always had a wonderful knack of communicating with children and seeing the world through their eyes. They say it takes a child to tell who you can trust, and Granny, Aunt, “The Great Aunt”, Sister and Friend has proven time and time again to be a true friend and confidant to anyone near.
