About the Book

Andrew.  It was seven o'clock. Kelsey was usually home by now. He Worked a little while longer, but it was no use. He couldn't concentrate. Normally If kelsey came home a little late, it didn’t bother him, but because of what had recently happened, he was beginning to get a little worried. Eight o'clock.  This was ridiculous.  Where the hell was Kelsey?

Kelsey.  The tears were falling steadily by now and had blurred her vision. Kelsey was not paying attention about where she was walking, Just caught up in her own misery. "Happy Thanksgiving," She said to nobody in particular, laughing half-heartedly.  Kelsey walked aimlessly down the street, her thoughts a million miles away. Absentmindedly, she stepped off the curb and into the street.  First she heard  the screech of tires, followed by a scream. Then she felt pain, and in an instant, everything went black.

Andrew and Kelsey were not only lovers,  they were best friends.  They had their share of ups and downs, but they had managed to keep it together for eight years.  One day things changed. The happiness was gone. Laughter was nowhere to be found. They were no longer living, loving, laughing, simply enjoying each other, but merely existing together. Would things ever be the way they once were?  Will they laugh again?

About the Author

Danni A. Karter has resided in Southern California since 1987. She has been writing since the tender age of six years old. She even used to make up bedtime stories to tell her younger sister and cousins.

In class when assigned to do creative writing assignments by looking at a picture and telling a story, Danni loved it.  She would get lost.  The teacher told her mother that she had a flare for writing. In her early teens she even entertained the idea of writing short stories for women’s magazines.

Although When The Laughing Stops is Ms. Karter’s second novel, she actually started it in 1991 and never completed it at that time.  When asked about that she simply said “It’s never too late to finish what you start.”

Don’t miss Ms. Karter’s first novel, Lies, Broken Promises and Heartache ... Is This Love?
