It had been a very long and busy year for Lisa Wilcox Janton, M.D., but it had also been a good year. Tomorrow would be her day, her fifty-fifth birthday. At almost 55 years of age she has found that her life is going by faster each year. Long ago she had felt life would slow down after she turned 50, but she had been very wrong. Her mother had made her study piano as a girl. She had not played the piano in over 30 years. She had hated piano. She would rather have been studying karate, which she had begun at age eight, or playing sports. Lately she had started playing the piano again, hoping it would help slow life down again and give her some relaxation. It had certainly helped, but life still seemed to roar by faster and faster. She lived in the suburbs of San Antonio, Texas. She had left her office early today. As she drive home she began to reflect on things leading up to today. At 54 years old, Lisa stood 5 foot 11 inches tall, still trim and muscular despite her age. Her honey blonde hair had started graying around her fortieth birthday, and the gray had certainly increased with her birthdays since then. She had decided to dye it and had kept it blonde.

Frank Flacy holds six college degrees in psychology, sociology, theology, and a Ph.D in the integration of Psychology and Theology. He is a former minister, deputy sheriff, and newspaperman. He is a counselor in a prison and a professor at a college. He has published hundreds of articles and eight other books with 1st Books Library. They are Take Courage America, The Light, In The Name of God, Newspaper Psychology and the Human Spirit, The Enemy Within, The Door, and Lady Cop/Lady Killer. He lives in San Antonio, Texas.
