As she became accustomed to the lack of light there was Sid in his usual position. Flat on his back, one leg draped up the dirty wall the other resting against the door. "This is no time to muck about" Amiee tried to sound annoyed.
He blinked several times before he realised that what he saw was real. Where the once skinny frame would not have hid his bones, now they were covered with rippling muscles.
Seeing the lights of his car and Sid approaching, he shot out of the container and hid. From his hiding place behind the container, he waited for Sid to look round for him. It seemed to take a lifetime to Tommie, crouching in the dark with knife in hand, ready to pounce.
Amidst the commotion Sid managed to get his jocks on and scrambled to the safety of the changing rooms.
"Ok smarty what you saying" butted in Chas. "Simple,we draw lots to see who has first crack at 'im" Ronnie looked around the table
The knife pierced Sid's upper arm, which spewed out a shot of silicon. At the same time the silicon hit the ground Tommie stepped forward
"Go round there again, find anyone who knows 'er and get info any way,I don't care how just get it"
Standing back to let Fatso pass him, the butler broke through his thoughts, "Mr Silva is waiting for you"
Max smiled back at her, he knew he was falling in love but he also felt uncomfortable at this.
"Can I ask you Daisy, it's something special" Max said, still holding her tightly
The result was quite spectacular, over the couch flew the doctor, hitting the wall and sliding to the floor.
Sid realised the medic was pointing to the floor "Have you forgotten something?"
his eyes darting from the offending item to the doctor
He smiled to himself he still could not believe what had happened to him.
Mr Silva had never lost so much money before that incident at the salon and he had no intentions of losing any more now.
He entered the metal detector arch, removing all metal items, about his person into the dish provided. At the same time Ally and Hal were engaged in an argument with the baggage handlers in the arrival area of Boston Airport.
With the occasional swearword the two bedraggled pair made their way towards the distant lights.

About the Book
Sid,a man with dreams but no way of achieving them until Amiee decides to change both their lives. Using mob money Amiee sets Sid on a journey which see him succeed in the world of bodybuilding. However, the mob boss wants his money back and dispatches Fatso to Boston to hunt the pair down. Unable to find Amiee he concentrates on Sid but cannot believe the bodybuilder of the same name is the skinny Sid from San Diego.
In achieving fame Sid falls foul of other contestants, five of whom band together to dispose of him. This they attempt to do with hilarious consequenses. Married to Angelica, who has the brains that Sid lacks, and with a growing family Sid is happy and contented. Soon to retire from bodybuilding, the Romano family moved to a larger home and increase their staff. With the imminant marriage of their maid Daisy to Max, their new butler, the course of their lives and events bring a number of unexpected surprises.
Over time Angelica begins to notice a change in her husband but cannot put her finger on what it is.
About the Author
Born at the outbreak of the second world war there have been many changes within both the home and workplace. But some things never change, like humour. Seen as a late developer Simone has allowed her humour to kept pace with these changes. Even as a mature undergraduate she found that making people laugh got her out of many scrapes. Therefore it is not surprising that her first novel includes many hilarious situations.
As some of her older friends would say, do not go fruit picking with her because you will be the one up the tree. When she related to me the exploites of 'Slick Sid' there was no doubt in my mind that this book had to be written.
