No, but you can get the hell out of here,” he responded. The door slammed shut and he heard a slap and a muffled cry. He pounded on the door and it flew open. “Now I asked nicely, I never ask nicely twice,” said Stan in a stern voice. The man looked back into the room and smiled at someone. Then he looked back at Stan. His face changed when he saw the glowing orange eyes staring at him. He shook his head as the man appeared to be getting bigger in front of him. All at once, the old man shoved him into the room and he slammed into the wall shattering the sheetrock. In a sweeping motion a second man went down and Stan stood over him. There was another voice. “Stop where you are or they die!” it yelled. Stan turned to see two other men, each holding a knife at the neck of a child. Diego was bleeding from a cut over his eye and Yoaan had a split lip. The two men were dragging the boys towards the back door. As soon as his hand twisted the knob and started to push the door Stan leaned back and howled. The four wolves came rushing through the door behind the men. They were joined by Guapo and remained crouched as though they were waiting for an order. The men were startled by the snarling dogs and the boys broke loose and ran across the room behind Stan. “Understand this amigos, I am not the one who will die in this situation,” he snarled. One of the wolves barked. “Patience Yahira, all in good time, “he responded. The two men looked nervous as they dropped the knives when he asked them to. “What the hell are you? A werewolf?” asked one man.

About the Author
Stanley L. Bradley is a retired school teacher. He holds a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Education from State University of New York College at Fredonia. While originally from Western New York he now resides in a small community in the Piedmont region of Central North Carolina. His six grown children live close by and he and his wife of over 50 years enjoy them very much. To date he has published four books. He started writing when he had an article published in a local magazine. It was entitled "Special Guests" and presented a special event that had happened with his children. After that he was bitten by the writing bug.
