About the Author

Artist painter and comics creator , Joz’ had started in 1974 at Paris with a publication (Louis Delgrès ) in the monthly « Charlie « After 10 years in France like a professional reporter drawer he came back to Martinique where he has teaching 37 years like art teacher for college and lycées. Since he was retired Joz’ has win the price of creative art with his last publication : « 1870 l’insurrection du sud « . Joz’ has also done several exhibitIons in New orleans during the « Jazzfest » where he got his inspiration to illustrate this history of Blacks troops in 1815 . After 4 months of research ,at Tulane University ,The Historic New Orleans collection ,and Jean LafitteNational Historical Park and preserve.
