See You in my Dreams The pain in my heart is visited daily Seeing a mother and daughter walking down the street Going to church seeing your seat that you always sat in Mother’s Day I can’t go to the stores because everyone is purchasing cards So much has gone on in my life since you left I would always talk to you daily As I got older the calls were fewer and then you got sick Your memory was fading but you tried to keep up I wouldn’t talk about myself anymore When you died I was lost I didn’t know what to do I didn’t know what day it was I didn’t want to go on anymore My best friend was gone The woman who taught me everything was gone Who would give me advice? Who would tell I am loved more than a bushel and a peck? A hug around the neck Who would give me those special pecks of sweetness on the cheek? Who would look in my eyes and assure me that everything was going to be okay? So I heard Jamie Foxx’s song and tonight I put on my new sheets, put your nightgown on, and I said my prayers before I closed my eyes to slumber Tonight I am excited because I am going to be able to see you I am going to be able to tell you everything that has been happening with everyone I am going to tell you how I miss you I am going to tell you how I love you with all my heart I am going to wrap my arms around you I am going to feel your small frame against mine Mommy, I’ll be seeing you in my dreams

About the Book
The third book of poetry will have fans laughing, crying and shaking their heads in agreement. The storms might bring you Through the Fire to appreciate Loving Me but when it rains it pours. You can’t look at just the bad but look at it as a cleansing preparing you for the next chapter. When prayers go up blessings come down. I say Let It Rain!
About the Author
Patricia A. Saunders was born and raised in Connecticut before relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area. She received her master’s in management from the University of Phoenix. After the passing of her mother who had Alzheimer’s, Patricia decided that all the words that she kept to herself were to be released, and she became a self-published author. She has been on a mission to write a book a year—Through the Fire (2012) and Loving Me (2013)—and has collaborated on other books. She is a motivational speaker who travels the country, sharing her story of being a caregiver and of faith and survival. She works as a supervisor for a corporate organization. In her spare time, Patricia enjoys writing poetry, traveling, and wine tasting.
