love can become an infection and spread through every inch of you, altering your perspective to the point where you cant re-connect with the old untarnished you love can bring you to your lowest of lows, to where you don't know how to get up and where everything in your life goes love can overwhelm you with constant thoughts and memories, making you constantly re-evaluate sayings and doings, making you wish that you could edit everything love can also take you 2 unparallel highs, way above everybody’s two cents, views, mouths and eyes love will give you the best joy you could ever feel, so embedded in you, that nothing or no one could ever steal love will make you feel happy to where its indescribable and no matter what happens that feeling is undeniable love will make you smile at the simple fact that you’re in it, giving you a state if completion and life contentment love can make you a different person for better or for worse, love can be your gift and it could be your curse love can take you to places you never thought you'd b, I know these truths because love did it to me

About the Book
Funny thing about Love is that we rarely see it coming especially for the first time. It sidelines our hearts and repositions our minds. The journey of falling in love is a road we all travel and discover the happiness, the pain, the countless emotions that unravel. Journey Thru Love takes you down my path of falling in love for the first time. As odd as the journey was, I hold it dear because it was mine. Peer deep into my sea of emotions in a time when I was drowning in love, not knowing if I’d ever see the surface above. So open your heart and your mind and travel this road with me. As I pour out my heart and soul for you to see. And in every line, every poem, my heart and soul is what you’ll see.
About the Author
Alexis, 24yrs old and a Bridgeport CT native, started writing at the age of 12 and it’s been a beautiful relationship thus far. She never knew what poetry what later mean to her or where it would take her but Poetry has became her 1st passion. Aside from poetry Alexis has a passion for food. She graduated from Bullard Havens High school in Bridgeport, CT specializing in baking and pastry arts. She went on to receive her associates in culinary arts and her Bachelors in Foodservice Management at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. Alexis also has a passion for psychology which she believes go hand in hand with her poetry. Her inspiration comes from life experiences as well as friends and family’s experiences. She is so passionate about her poetry that she keeps a pen and notebook under her pillow for times of sudden inspiration. To her, poetry is her essence, her energy and she thanks God for her gift every day. Publishing her book is a dream come true and she plans to publish many more. She hopes her poems entertain, inspire and teach.
