About the Book

This story is based on our familys pet tortoise that would wander around in the back yard and sometimes get herself into a bit of trouble every now and then.

About the Author

MONICA ABBOTT is the Author of LT Makes New Friends. A delightful story of a pet tortoise and her adventures. Monica lives in Florida along with her husband, two dogs, several fish and an Amazon bird. She has three grown children and seven grandchildren with one more on the way. She likes to take walks with her husband and dogs, take long rides with her husband on the motorcycle, and working in the yard. Since her first writing assigment in the 6th grade, she has wanted to write a book. With the encouragment of her husband, children and grandchildren she finally did it. She gives a lot of credit to her daughter, Robin Jobson, grandaughters, Samantha Jobson and Erica Jobson, for their many inputs on this new LT adventure. Also, a special thanks to her oldest grandaughter, Olivia Jobson, for her continued talents on all the delightful illustrations.
