Then they heard, "Excuse me, pardon me, coming through." They parted as a lizard zigzagged up the middle of them. "What's the hurry?" asked Dusty as he held on tightly with all of his eight legs to LT's back. "No hurry. It's just what I do. I go fast." replied the lizard. "Oh," LT said. "How would you like to slow down and stroll with us? My friends and I are walking around the pond to see how many new friends we can make."

About the Book
This story is based on a pet turtle that would wonder around the pond in our backyard and some of the other critters that she encountered.
About the Author
Monica Abbott lives in Florida along with her husband, two dogs, several fish and a bird. She has three grown children and seven grandchildren. She likes to work in the garden and take walks with her husband and dogs. Since her first writing assignment in the 6th grade, Monica has wanted to write a book. With the encouragement of her husband, children and grandchildren she finally accomplished it.
