The phone rang. He picked it up.
“Hello,” he said.
“Is Willard there?” a female voice said.
“Willard doesn’t live here.”
“Where’s he live?”
“Is this a joke?” he asked.
“It’s not a joke. I just need to get in touch with him.”
“How can I tell you where he lives when I don’t know him?”
“He gave me this phone number. Are you hiding him?”
“Yeah, I’m hiding him. I’ve got him stuffed in the freezer.”
“I’m calling the cops,” she said.
