The centre of the story is a young Nigerian woman Aduke based in France, who is questing for happiness. Being exploited and betrayed by her new boy-friend Tunji, she struggles to keep up their living. Her state of being pregnant makes it impossible for her to escape from the situation. Her close friend Enes and Aduke’s family in Nigeria open her eyes about how Tunji truly is, but it takes time until she will find back her freedom.
