Che Ma and his men continue on through the jungle at a slow pace. Most of their attention is set high above the trees, as they expect the Tarbo to attack from there. They are only a few yards away from the village and still, there is no sign of their opponents! But as they just get into view of the village, a number of Tarbo warriors jump down from the tree tops, in all directions. Che Ma expected a brash attack from the front but since the Tarbo were able to hide themselves amongst the trees, they have caught them off guard. Their numbers are unclear as they spring around like monkeys. The archers are demoralised by their attack. They shoot their crossbows wildly, as the Tarbo attack them with stone knifes. Che Ma tells his troops to stand firm as they await the arrival of Kao Nam and Wu Dong.
As the Tarbo continue on with their attack; only ten archers remain alive. They have organised themselves into a straight line as they are now able to defend themselves against the enemy. As it takes time to load an arrow into their crossbows, the men take it in turns to attack, as the other half load.
Now that composure has set in to Che Ma's men, all they have to do now, is perceiver until the other units arrive. As they defend within their circle, the Tarbo throw themselfs at Che Ma's men, recklessly. They appear to have no fear of death as they attack.
Finally, Kao Nam has brought in his troops from Che Ma's left, as Wu Dong comes in from the right. The Tarbo's numbers begin to dwindle due to the arrival of the reinforcements. Now that Che Ma feels that he is getting the upper hand, he takes his troops over to the Tarbo village, as he leaves Kao Nam and Wu Dong's men to finish off the Tarbo.
As the fight in the jungle rages on, Kao Nam is taken by surprise from an unarmed opponent. He kicks away Kao Nam's sword, as he held it in his right hand. The Tarbo warrior positions himself in a horse stance; with legs appart and knees bent. He moves his arms around as he tries to put off his opponent. Kao Nam cautiously approaches him as he attempts to grab him. Once Kao Nam is close enough, the tarbo warrior unleashes an almighty elbow smash, which hits Kao Nam on the right temple. He crashes to the ground almost immediately, as he is out cold.
