This book takes place during WWI1. The Italians allied wit the Germans in fighting the Americans in Africa. When the Italians are abandoned by the Germans with no food, supplies and ammunition, they surrender to the Americans Many Italians speak English and have relatives in the States; many Americans have re1at in Italy. A friendship and understanding takes place with subplots of “American Freedom Fighters” to undermine the military efforts; a wife posing as a soldier to follow her husband; murder and deceit. A war story with plenty of action and a proof on how senseless war can be.


About the Author

David Womack Wills was born in Memphis, Tennessee to a mother and father both of whom were members of old established families. He was the fourth of five children. His father was a newspaperman who worked for several of the major newspapers in Tennessee. His mother was a nurse, a teacher and stay-at-h wife. Mr. Wills holds a Bachelor’s degree and two masters degrees. He retired from the Air Force and from teaching High School and College. He is also the author of “Depression Daze” and “Basic Treats”. He resides in Lake Mary, Florida with his wife.
