About the Author

 

     R.J. Intindola retired in 2002 after a thirty-year career in the profession of city management.  He served as City Manager for Hallandale Beach Florida, for nearly thirty years.  He was noted as an innovator and a fiscal conservative.

 

     He has written numerous articles and publications on various topics related to government administration and personal time management.  R.J. has written over one hundred poems, more than twenty musical compositions and recorded several songs.  He is an outspoken figure, supporting professional management in local government.  During a referendum to change to a strong mayor form of government in Broward County, Florida, he participated in numerous debates.  Many credit Mr. Intindola as a major catalyst for the defeat of the referendum.
