Juan Pablo Munoz originally from Barranquilla, Columbia, has been in the United States for eight years. He now lives in Naples, Florida. He holds an airline transport pilot license with single and multi-engine land, a commercial single engine sea and certified flight instructor license and instrument and multi-engine instructor. Juan also holds the highest federal communications commission general radio/telephone license with radar endorsement and a ham radio license with the call sign KC2FKM since 1999. He is involved in local aviation groups and is also an aviation safety counselor for the Miami FSDO since 2001.
Juan is now taking classes at the Edison Community College where he is soon to be finished with his Associates Degree in Business Administration. He is an Aircraft Appraiser in the Naples, Florida area where he owns his own business.
Juan is the Chief Instructor for a busy flight school with facilities in Immokalee, Florida and has flown more than 100 types of aircraft. In his spare time, Juan serves as a substitute teacher in the Aviation Department at the Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology. He is now working in obtaining his commercial balloon, glider and helicopter ratings.
