A true story about a French girl from Montreal. The love of the Detroit community and Ste Anne’s church. The impact made upon her husband and her children, An inspiration to people who think that life is too hard for them. A simple woman who trusted in her God. Through her faith and courage, she achieved the American Dream. As an orphan she developed a trust in her Savior, that withstood her all her many years. She was there for all her children through thick and thin and her beloved “Augie”. If it had not been for her devotion and constant love he would never have been able to be the Detroit pioneer in the trucking business. Thus the story “Sweet Adeline”.

About the Author

The author of this factual history account of her grandmother is the mother of four grown children. She went to three different Universities to study art and at the University of Michigan she majored in English Literature. Finally graduating with Hundreds of credits in art, but achieving a degree in Teaching, with a concentration in History and Psychology at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, She was what her family called the “perpetual student.” She was inspired to write this account of her grandmother, whom she so admired and loved, when she realized no one else knew this wonderful story in her family. It was too sweet a life to leave it untold.
