YOU ARE THE TRUTH

You who seek truth and go after it scrutinizing the teaching of others, tell me, what is this truth you look for?  You can’t say?   You can’t say because you don’t know what Truth is.

So that you may know, I will tell you what truth is, and at the same time, show you how you can find it.  Here it is!  Truth is that which IS.  That which exists is not truth. Truth is what is real. That which exists is not real.  Only that which is, is real.  To be is not to exist.  Let me explain it better.  To be comes from Latin esse, which means permanent, unchangeable, eternal.  To exist, also from Latin, ex, (sto or stare), means out.  Together, it means that which is out.  In other words, it is what the Being manifests “outside,” the world of manifested things in whose “interior” the Being IS.

That which exists is transitory and perishable.  Its material existence is developed in the external world of your physical body.  Consequently, it is not real.  What exists in the world outside, exists today and is gone tomorrow.   Everything in it is changeable and perishable. Truth is something your material eyes will never see, nor your human hands touch.  You ask, “What then is Truth if nothing that surrounds me is?” Come close and listen with your soul.  You are the Truth!

Don’t be startled by what I say.  You, the Spirit, (not the man), are the Truth.  Do you want proof of this?  Listen!  You are the I Am in man, not his human self.  You, even with the changes of your human personality, have remained always the same.  You said “I” as a child, you say it as an adult, and will say it when your body is old. Your physical expression has changed constantly, but You haven’t.  You are, in the pure idea of your self:  I Am. 

You now know what truth is and, at the same time, you now know that You are the Truth.  Nothing that surrounds you is.  And you were looking for the Truth you have always been!  You will not find Truth in your world, nor in the whole universe.  The whole creation, work of the True Being, is an immense effect constantly changing in its external appearance.  Because it changes, it is not truth.  If you want to find the truth of anything that exists, look for it in your self, in your spiritual being, your I AM.

USEFULNESS

After reading My prior dissertations, perhaps you ask, “what is the usefulness of all this?  Will this teaching be another religious point of view which will plunge me into the empty contemplation of the abstract?”  If you think that way, you have not carefully meditated My Teaching and my useful significance has escaped you.  If that is the case, it is necessary that I mention something of the useful or practical side of My Truth.

In the first place, let me call your attention to the conditions which, in your life,  have resulted in calamities because of your negative state of mind.  If you don’t know your self, as you really are, that state of consciousness already constitutes a “negative” state which gives rise to a negative or erroneous way of thinking.  If your ideas are negative, so are your words and actions.  As you speak or do, you impress others and yourself in such a way as to become true subjective creations which eventually come through your human mind to become a reality.  All this, a series of manifestations of impotence, failure, misfortune, lack, etc., that form a miserable life.  If this is so, can you understand how, because of the transformation your consciousness goes through as it finds its true being, you clean your mind of all negativeness?

Perhaps you are now becoming aware that if you Realize Me within you, that if you identify your self in Me and with Me, that if you clear your mind of the negative state, making it positive, your subjective creation will be perfection.  Its mental creative power will express itself stronger than when it was negative, will create for you circumstances that will make you see life, as you say, “rosy pink.”
