It wasn’t long before Dee and Bree were awakened by a VERY loud noise in the house.
“What was that?” Bree jumped up, throwing back her blankets.
“I don’t know,” said
“…but it’s coming from the attic!”
What was it!???
They got out of their beds and went into the hall, following the sound. They turned the corner and headed towards the stairs.
The girls crept VERY slowly up the stairs.
For some unknown reason, they were not the least bit scared ~ just curious!
The noise got louder….
…and louder and louder and LOUDER...!
They were mounting the stairs......
When, half way up, they stopped….
They peeked through the railing.
Their eyes flew open wide…
REALLY WIDE.....
They could not believe their eyes….
There stood the most beautiful blonde horse! Her golden mane was radiant! SHE was…glowing!
What tha…?
The girls looked at each other ~ bewildered!
The sight of the beautiful pony standing in front of them had them speechless. She glowed ~ lighting up the room around her!
They shrugged their shoulders ~ knowing they were thinking the same thing ~ “How did she get in here!?”
They looked back at the horse.
“Where did she come from??” Bree whispered.
The horse was looking directly at them.
“Why, I’ve come to see you ~ I am your friend,” said the pony!
Wide eyed, Dee and Bree jumped back on the stairs, almost tumbling one over the other, but they caught hold of the railing just in time and held tight. They were in shock.
“You can talk!” Bree found herself blurting out.
“A talking pony!” screeched
