“Sam, Sam, wake up,” I heard
whispered in my ear.
“Who’s there?” I muttered, waking
from a deep sleep.
“Don’t scream, Sam. It’s me.
Bugboy.”
“Who are you and what are you
doing in my bedroom?” I said, getting
nervous now. I couldn’t see very well
because my room was so dark, so I jumped out of bed and turned on the light.
“Aaahhhh!” I started to
scream. Bugboy ran up to me and put his
hand over my mouth to quiet me. I
couldn’t believe what I was looking at.
He looked like a boy, but he had wings like a bug and was starting to
glow!
“What do you want?” I asked,
starting to panic now.
“I need your help, Sam,” he asked
quickly.
“How do you know my name?” I
asked him. This thing was giving me the
creeps.
“You know me, Sam, but you’re
trying to forget. Let me help you
remember,” he pleaded, as he bent down on my floor. Bugboy lifted the floorboard and grabbed my
hand. Something was familiar about this. I couldn’t exactly remember what though.
He asked me to drink something –
a vial he had in his pocket. He said it
was a remembering potion.
I was hesitant at first, but he
looked so sad and afraid. I felt I could
trust him, so I took a sip.
My whole world changed again.
