About the Book

This book is lovingly dedicated to one of the most wonderful woman I have been blessed to meet in my lifetime and have as my friend.  Her name is Kristen Jacobsen now.  When I met her in May of 2001, she was my assistant manager and engaged to be married to Andy.  Her name was Kristen Fuger.

Her days were huge between doing her job and making all of the plans for her upcoming wedding during every break.  Kristen is a woman that gets done what needs to be gotten done.  I respect and adore her so much.  It was love at first sight for both of us--  Still is and always will be.

I am her Seattle mom, as her biological mom does not live in our state.  2 weeks and 22 hours before she was to marry Andy Jacobsen, the man of her dreams, she speaks these exact words to me--  “Help, I am getting married in 2 weeks and 22 hours and I do not know how to cook”.

This book began that day.  Her exact words became the title of my book.  I DO know how to cook, and have given Kristen my everything here.

Although we are almost 1 year later, Kristen tells me often, how this is her best wedding gift ever.  I hope that when you see your book for the first time that you feel as loved and special as you are to me.

This book is just for you Kristen.  Happy 1 year anniversary.  I will love you forever and ever and ever and always...

About the Author

I, Kristen, have been given the privilege, or should I say, demanded the privilege to say a few words about our author.  In my life, I have seldom encountered such an amazing woman as Denise Snow.  Denise has an exceptional ability to make an entire room sparkle.  Her resilience to handle whatever life throws her way continues to inspire me to be a more patient and grateful person.  As a friend, she has cared for me like a mother with love and dedication (just look at this book)!  I am blessed beyond description to have Denise a part of my life.  I could continue and write my own book on her alone, but then, that might take you away from the kitchen!

Previously, Denise created another incredible cookbook,  Feeding the Greek System, published at www.1stbooks.com.  This is a helpful guide formulated by her experience as the House Director of a Washington State University sorority.  Each recipe serves 50 people.

She is the proud mother of one beautiful daughter and currently resides in Seattle.  Employed with Starbucks Coffee Company, she is working towards her goal of international business and traveling abroad professionally.  Her passions consist of travel, exercise, spending quality time in the kitchen, and obviously creating cookbooks.
