About the Author
Born in Evanston, Illinois, Douglas Lowell Pemberton
has spent the past twenty years in Los Angeles, California, where he was
employed as a postal employee until his retirement in September 1994, due to
occupational asthma. Douglas is currently a teacher with the Los Angeles
Unified School District.
In addition to spending time with his
seventeen-year-old daughter, Arista Porche, Mr. Pemberton also enjoys singing,
watching movies, reading, writing, and participating in many sports.
