About the Book

Love’s Mirror is an anthology of twelve short stories about love, war, joy, sadness, deception, confusion, honesty, regret, humor, hard choices, philosophy, remembrance, and heroism.

It is about real people and real events depicted fictionally through an exploration of these important aspects of the human condition as they are interwoven with love fully reflected through love’s mirror.

The readers are certain to recognize much of themselves and much of their own lives in these stories.

About the Author

In a long and distinguished career, Michael Patrick Murray has been a trial attorney, both as a prosecutor and defense counsel, as well as a trial judge and appellate judge, along with serving as a United States Marine during the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

In addition, he has enjoyed extensive teaching experience as a law professor at four different law schools, putting his five university degrees and broad legal experience to good use in the academic venues.

When asked as to what aspect of his experience he enjoys most, Judge Murray advises, "Added to the genuine pleasure of writing about human nature and the law, as well as the challenge this presents, I truly believe it is a close call between studying law, teaching law, and fighting the good fight in court for truly worthy causes, the most important of which are truth and justice—neither of which are mutually exclusive—nor can they stand alone from each other in the courtroom. This is a hard fact that is lost on many lawyers today.”

In addition to this anthology of short stories, Judge Murray’s well received novels in which the novels’ protagonist, Los Angeles criminal law defense counsel, Sean Fitzpatrick O’Ryan, is introduced and continues his dedicate defense of those wrongfully accused of crimes, are entitled O’Ryan’s Law, Murder By Class, and Law Is A Jealous Mistress, published by 1stBooks Library.
