About the Book

This “how-to” manual teaches a useful skill in psychic sensing, called Directed Intuition. It involves merely shifting your awareness, much like you routinely shift attention to recall a memory. You can use the skill at any time, with eyes open and engaged in activities.

The unique training method has proven effective both in classes and self-instruction. The author devised the concept in the mid 1960s after years of developing his own sensing ability by experiment, and by ‘69 began teaching classes for several years. This updated book (first edition 1970) has abundant examples of remarkable results and swift learning—even some within a few minutes.

The lessons are a third of the text. The rest discusses expected achievements, mental impressions during training, and applications for the skill in diverse fields, including business, foreign affairs, and relationships.

This book is intended for (1) people desiring to enrich their lives with psychic insight, (2) disciplined researchers into psychic phenomena, and (3) investigators of subjects where needed data cannot be obtained by other means.

About the Author

The author’s experience covers 50 years of research, writing, and teaching in engineering and psychic fields. He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Pepperdine University. His 1960 textbook Digital Computer Principles was used in 14 colleges. In mind behavior, his degrees are Doctor of Metaphysics and Doctor of Hypnotherapy.

He became strongly interested in psychic sensing in the mid ‘50s while trying to heal a handicapped friend with hypnosis, when it became apparent that his verbal probings into his friend’s mind were making the man psychic. From observations then and later, he extracted enough clues to teach himself over a two-year period in the mid ‘60s to obtain psychic information skillfully.

Naming his technique Directed Intuition, by 1969 he had developed and verified a quick-training method for the skill, as taught in this book and many classes. Additionally, he learned and taught techniques of psychic healing, using only the energies of the mind.

In 1971-72, he offered professional therapy and counseling for a time, combining hypnosis with psychic skills. Experiences with patients added to his knowledge about problems traceable to past lives and treatable by psychic healing.

The author lives in Northridge, California, with this wife, Marilyn, another excellent practitioner of Directed Intuition. They routinely gather information with this method, both for casual day-to-day events and for guidance in other psychic activities.
