Important Author Information
- Your Animated Short Film Adaptation includes one round of minor revisions. Minor revisions may include adjustments to the musical score or narration script, changes to the end card or title design, or the removal, replacement, or addition of one scene.
- Animated Short Film Adaptation is a cinematic interpretation of your book. It does not reproduce your book word for word, page by page, or scene by scene. Narrative passages, events, and dialogue may be restructured, condensed, expanded, or presented through new visual sequences to create a cohesive animated film.
- Your approved Film Adaptation Plan, character direction, animation style, storyboard, cast voices, and scene sequence become locked once you approve the Pre-Production Package and sign the Master Production Sign-Off.
- Requests for additions or changes made after you provide production approval that fall outside the included minor-revision allowance may be treated as major revisions and may incur additional charges.
- Your lead time begins after you approve the Pre-Production Package and return the signed Master Production Sign-Off.
Potential Film and Television Consideration by 5 More Minutes
Once your Animated Short Film Adaptation is completed, it will first be considered by 5 More Minutes for potential film or television adaptation.
If 5 More Minutes is interested in exploring your concept, they will contact you directly to explain their proposed plan of action and determine whether you are interested in moving forward.
If 5 More Minutes decides not to pursue your concept after reviewing the film, it will be added to our Hollywood Database, where registered entertainment professionals can browse and search for new material with the potential to be adapted into feature films and television series.
