Our Editorial Assessment evaluates sections of your manuscript to gauge what type or level of editing shall help polish it. As part of the process, a portion of your work (typically the first chapter or approximately 1,700 words) shall be edited to provide you with a sample. The team shall provide a general assessment of your manuscript and commentary directed towards improving it.
The estimated timeframe for the Editorial Assessment is 3–4 weeks. Depending on the results, the evaluator shall recommend the bespoke services of a line editor, content editor, or developmental editor.

If you wish to purchase the recommended service, the team shall assign your book to an editorial specialist who shall take your manuscript through a thorough editing process, addressing the specific issues raised in the assessment. You may also wish to work with your own editor or make the recommended changes yourself.

Important Notes

• A Diagnostic Tool: The Editorial Assessment is not a replacement for full editorial services; it is a preliminary diagnostic process to determine which areas of your manuscript require improvement.
• Editorial Credit: If you purchased the Editorial Assessment as a standalone service, you shall receive a £195 credit towards the cost of any subsequent Editorial Services you purchase from us.

• Flexibility: You are under no obligation to use our services; you may wish to work with an external editor or implement the suggested changes yourself.
