About the Book

I would like to dedicate this book, first to (John) because without him and his life, his story, all his sacrifice and hurt, and his unselfish love for his family, there would be no story. To my children and my wife who are the center of my life and my inspiration and motivation to live life to the fullest, and share, laugh, and love every day. And finally, to my parents, whom I can thank for my existence and for making me the man I am today. Their constant support instilled love, respect, values, and morals that molded me early on to help me in all the trials and tribulations, ups and downs that life is and always brings. Thank you.

About the Author

Dr. Rafie Hamidpour was born in the mountainous region located between Baghdad and the Sea of Caviar, known as the Persian Plateau. This historical terrain extends for over 1,200 miles, encompassing the greater part of Iran and significant portions of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Equally as extensive is Dr. Hamidpour’ s family history, as he is a descendant of the Do-Lang family, whose history dates back over four hundred years. Dr. Hamidpour’ s journey to west began late in 1986 and was comprised of stopovers in Turkey, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, and Romania. In 1987, the voyage ended with a final destination of the American Midwest. For Dr. Hamidpour, writing has been one of several interests in life as he has also taught at the collegiate level, compiled 17 books, and on four occasions has received certificates of registration from the United States of America’s Library of Congress. He also received several Patent registrations on Canada and United State of America. The greatest of all his accomplishments are the relationships with his family and friends. One of his close friends was the inspiration behind his latest literary piece, Treason by Novel Sons.
