Ella and Joshua were very excited! It was Christmas eve and mummy had been busy wrapping presents to put under the tree. They wanted to open them now but daddy said they had to be patient and wait until the morning. It was time for bed but Ella wasn't tired. Daddy read a story which helped and she soon fell fast asleep. In the morning the children went downstairs and they were so happy to see more parcels under the tree. Santa had been! Ella and Joshua opened their parcels and let out a whoop of joy as they saw the best presents ever! A beautiful doll for Ella and a cool robot for Joshua.

About the Author
After her school education Maryse qualified as a nursery nurse and brought up two wonderful children as well as worked in many different childcare facilities. She finds nothing more rewarding in these enviroments than sitting with the children and reading them a story. It has always been a precious time with her own girls, snuggled up on the couch and delving into books while they listen intently and interact with the story. Maryse's daughters are both profoundly deaf and rely on a hearing device to support their hearing and speech development. This made reading time even more valuable. Maryse's books are written to give the young child enjoyment and to gain the necessary early reading skills. As well as aiding their intellectual, emotional and social development.
