About the Author

Dr. Barbara D. Yeager is a native of West Virginia, educated at Wheeling Jesuit University, Marshall University and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA. Her academic interests include English Literature, Religion and Philosophy, Appalachian Literature and Childrens Literature. She taught classes, both undergraduate and graduate, in these areas for fifty years at the University of Charleston, Wheeling Jesuit University and Marshall University. She has published books in all these areas. They include Stories from the Hills, From the Hills, The Wooden Tower, Confirmation, Soul Searching, Soaring and now 7 Sleeps til Christmas. Dr. Yeager was married for fifty-six years to the late Dr., Brigadier General, Mayor Jack E. Yeager. They shared many wonderful life adventures. Together, they raised their five children, served higher education as college professors, developed a 240- acre, Christmas tree farm, and served their city as Mayor and secretary for five years. Now retired and widowed, Dr. Yeager enjoys writing and working puzzles. Her greatest joy comes from watching her children raise their children and watching her grandchildren thrive and her great-grandchildren grow.
