Volume I: Researching James Lea of Caswell County, deposed in 1794, was challenging because of decades of erroneous information. The author has addressed this by creating a comprehensive study of the Leas of Caswell and Person Counties, North Carolina, based on original records. Volume I details this important research and outlines the first three generations of early Lea families. Volume II: Appendices of sources: copies of the original records as noted in Volume I. Volume III: This volume in color improves the Big Y-DNA study of the Lea family from Caswell and Person Counties, North Carolina (shown in black-and-white in Volume I). This is the most comprehensive Y-DNA study done to date, offering key insights into the Leas' heritage. The study was conducted by the Rev. Dr. Cynthia Forde, compiled and analyzed by Dr. Maurice Gleeson of England, an internationally renowned genetic genealogist.
