About the Book

As the youngest of four siblings from my mother’s only marriage, my journey through life was far from easy. I had to work tirelessly to become the person I am today. As a child, I often went to bed unsure of what the next day would bring, and I wasn’t always certain I’d have the stability I needed to concentrate and do well in school. Despite the difficult circumstances we lived through, my mom—our sole provider and caregiver—did her utmost to ensure that our basic needs were met. She made sure we were always clean and well-dressed, disguising the hardships we faced so that others could not easily tell our struggles.

About the Author

Born in Guyana and raised on the beautiful island of St. Lucia, Annetta now resides in the United Kingdom, where she continues to live out her calling as a nurse, mentor, and servant of Yahuah. As a mother of four adult children, she has navigated each season of life with resilience, faith, and a deep commitment to uplifting others. With a master’s degree and extensive nursing experience, Annetta has dedicated her professional life to caring for people with compassion and excellence. Beyond her clinical work, she has been actively involved in women’s and youth ministry for several years, serving as a mentor, guide, and encourager to young people navigating life’s challenges. Her heart has always been drawn to those who are overlooked or forgotten — especially vulnerable and at‑risk youth. Through patience, advocacy, and unwavering belief in their potential, she has helped many young people set new goals, rebuild their confidence, and pursue paths of purpose and success. Her life reflects a consistent thread: a passion for restoration, empowerment, and spiritual growth. Above all, Annetta identifies herself as an ambassador of the King of all kings, Yahuah, seeking to honour Him in every aspect of her life and ministry.
