About the Book

This book was written for all the fishermen that are around someone catching fish after fish and are too proud or stubborn to ask, “What do you know that no one else knows”. In over 40 years of drift fishing for Steelhead trout I have only had one person walk up to me while I was having success, catching multiple fish and ask me that question. That man had fished for five days with no success and after asking me a couple more questions was able to go back to his spot and within an hour was able to catch his daily limit of Steelhead. Science is just theory until proven wrong, so far my theories have been proven right so I have titled my book, “THE ART /SCIENCE OF DRIFT FISHING FOR STEELHEAD TROUT’.

About the Author

The Author is a man who grew up loving to hunt and fish. His dad had him fly fishing by age 4 and tying his own flies so dad didn’t have to supply him with ones he tied. He had a passion for fishing and by the time he was seventeen bigger fish interested him. He started trying to learn about Salmon fishing on his own. Reading, asking questions and fishing alone, and after just one season the Salmon season ended in Idaho for five years. Because he still had a desire for larger fish, and absolutely enjoyed drift fishing, he embarked on a journey to learn how to fish for Steelhead trout. The journey was long and frustrating, traveling many thousands of miles and spending hundreds if not thousands of hours fishing for Steelhead to learn and process what he did learn to a point of wanting to share his knowledge with others. Walking up to a place on the river among several fishermen that were not having success and instantly catching fish, and being the only one catching fish, gave him the feeling that he truly had learned how to drift fish for Steelhead. In the many times he walked up to the river and instantly had success there was only one man that approached him and asked what he knew that nobody else knew.
