Martha reached for her cup but discovered Mr. Wienie was holding it. He had just filled it with eggnog, holding the cup out for her to take; she was unsure if she wanted it. Mr. Wienie lifted the cup he had been drinking from and said, “Congratulations!” It was hard to tell if Martha was happy or mad as she moved closer to him. She looked at Mr. Wienie from head to toe; as though she was sizing him up for a suit of clothes. Then she asked him, “Congratulations for what, Jessica?” Mr. Wienie took the cup he had been holding for Martha and thrust it into her hand, then took the cup he had been drinking from, dipped it entirely into the eggnog, and said, “It’s been a while since my sisters, and I have had a worthy opponent! When declaring war, you should always know your enemy.” Mr. Wienie drank all the eggnog in the cup. Then he dipped his cup again into the eggnog, raised it as if to toast Martha, and said, “My name is Mr. Wienie, not Jessica! This cussing little red doxie over here is a Ginger, but her name is Elizabeth James! Your newest elf there on the floor is Sager Jane, aka the babysitter, and if you know anything about babysitters….” Interrupting my brother, I shouted, “They don’t take shit from anyone!”

The survivor in Wendy pulled up her bootstraps and went back to the retail workforce as the CEM of Operations for a world-known craft house in her location for 10 years. She is an identical mirror image twin to Cendy J. Hatfield. She is a celebrated author who is currently retired and enjoys traveling. Her greatest pleasures are spending time with her family and playing with, photographing, and writing about her three beautiful dachshunds, Elizabeth James, Sager Jane, and Mr. Wienie.

She is also known on social media for her famous nom de plume, Madmouzzie. Cendy is literally the driving force behind most of the stories posted as “The Diner” featured on Elizabeth and The Savages UnChained FaceBook page. The Diner posts are about the daily antics of Elizabeth James, Sager Jane, Mr. Wienie, and their friends. She enjoys traveling with her husband, Tom.
