While reading “Unwhispered Voices”, a debut book of poetry by Dadlo Zuhrani, the content of the book can be divided into two parts. Book will bring tears to the eyes of the readers, while reading pitiable plight of a refugee girl, abused street child, call girl killed by father and bitter life of sex workers, on the streets of Kuala Lumpur a victim of human trafficking. The part of the Book vividly describes the fairy like girls, jilted lovers, broken hearts, separation, union and longing. The most striking feature of the book is its voice against the political, social injustice, enforced disappearances of political opponents, corruption of ruling elite. As a whole you will at a time find love and hate, victory and defeat, separation and union, longing and meeting, simplicity and shrewdness.


About the Author

Dadlo Zuhrani was born on 27th May 1971 in a small village "Dino Wahan" near Dokri Town, District Larkana, Sindh, Pakistan, situated on the bank of Dadu Canal, surrounded by beautiful natural scenes, green fields, orchards and sweet songs of birds. In spite of the natural beauty and lovely environment, the poet also went through curse of poverty, backwardness, helplessness, oppression, tyranny, exploitation and torment of life. Combo of beauty and poverty equally inspired Dadlo for writing short stories and novels in his mother tongue Sindhi and poetry in English. His writings reflect beauty, Struggle and bitter social realities. In 2016, his Novel in Sindhi language "Dunya Dam Darya" was published and declared best novel of the year by Sindhi Language Authority, and Literary Association of Progressive Writers. Being a poet of romance and harsh social realities, Dadlo Zuhrani writes whatever he personally sustains or observes. His poetry truly reflects the woes and pains of downtrodden and oppressed peoples. His poetry is full of deep thoughts, poetic sensitivity and beauty. Dadlo Zuhrani is Civil Servant by profession and he has done his Masters in International Master in Public Procurement Management (IMPPM) from University of Rome, Tor, Vergata).
