The very first night the Lady said " Bedtime Milton" She walked upstairs. I went to the stairs and looked up. I don't do stairs (unless food is involved} Remember, stiff legs So, I began to whine until she came down and picked me up. She had my bed on the floor, then she got in her bed. I sniffed the bed and walked away. "Go to sleep, Milton," said the Lady. "No Way" barked me. She got it. Quick Learner! She picked me up and, in the bed, I settled, legs out straight. She slept on the edge.

About the Book
I was inspired to write my first book after having Milton, a 16 year old terrier, as my houseguest. He was like a cantankerous old man, set in his ways and not about to change them. I felt frustrated and amused during his visit, and relieved when his ten day visit came to an end. However, Milton remains in my heart forever as a very special little guy.
About the Author
Linda Bowles is a retired R.N., who graduated from The Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing She was born and raised in Steubenville, Ohio. Linda is the mother of two daughters and the grandmother of four. She now lives in Herndon, Virginia. Her love of children's books is well known to family and friends as she purchases one on every trip she takes. A photo of her and fellow travelers is placed in the book and saved for her grandchildren.
