The Key to the V:
When the body of eccentric 75-year-old blues musician Jimmy Freeman, is found in his kitchen, the young woman who placed his rescue dog with him becomes the prime suspect in his murder. Add in a mysterious key, a rare, vintage electric guitar, along with a cast of endearing characters and you have a short story that is a quick read that keeps you in suspense. Using the eclectic backdrop of Toronto's unique neighborhoods, the first story in "The Rescue Dog Mysteries" series, follows a group of misfit dogs who find happiness with a woman who has learned to make her own way in the world.
Freeman’s Best Friend Dog Rescue:
The second story in the "Rescue Dog Mystery" series finds Diane Daniels settling into her new role as the founder and director of Freeman's Best Friend Dog Rescue which she runs alongside her partner Marty Cohen, a recording engineer. On a trip to Ocho Rios, Marty rescues a tiny dog and brings her back to Canada to save her life. The quest to determine the true identity of the little "rescue dog" takes a dangerous turn when an unscrupulous person will stop at nothing to retrieve something hidden in the unlikeliest of places.
The Christmas Window:
The arrival of an expectant Husky and the discovery of an exquisite artist's rendering of one of the most beloved features of a historic property about to be sold to real estate developers, make the founders of Freeman's Best Friend Dog Rescue shelter determined to identify and locate the artist. With the addition of a feisty eighty-nine year old arts guild president and two young travellers to the established cast of characters, Michele Anne O'Neail's third rescue dog mystery celebrates Christmas in a way that Jimmy Freeman would most certainly approve of.
