About the Book

After decades of indifference, the forces of nature converge to create catastrophic and unimaginable events around the globe. Unbelievable death and destruction put the very existence of humanity at risk. The Earth is spinning out of control. Decades of ideological division and hate have made it impossible for governments and nations to solve the complex problems facing humanity. All hell has broken loose to create horrific situations and challenges beyond comprehension. Unbeknownst to the society at large, a family of well-educated and talented cousins are drawn together to confront the threat of human extinction. It is a journey into the abyss of human decadence.

About the Author

It has been the authors lifelong desire to write a book. Over the past 70 years, family and career pushed this desire to the back burner of life. Now, with time and experience, the author is taking a literary leap. Over the years, the author adopted the idealism of Robert Kennedy, the pragmatism of Oliver Wendell Homes Jr., the transcendentalism of Walt Whitman, and the cynicism of Demetrius. These four forces of human thought have greatly influenced the authors journey in telling this story. Early in life, the author learned to love and value all of God’s creation while hunting, fishing, and trapping with his Father. He learned the importance of faith from his Grandmother. He learned to appreciate and value the arts from his Mother. He learned to not take things or himself too seriously from his Grandfather. The author has spent his lifetime as a professional educator with a deep interest in history and politics. He loves to travel, and in 1975 moved to Tehran, Iran to teach at the American School. Throughout their life together, the author and his wife have traveled extensively throughout the continental United States as well as Alaska and Hawaii. They have taken their adventures to Canada, Mexico, Panama, Britain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Greece, Turkey, Peru, and Ecuador including the Galapagos Islands. The author has long been a writer of articles about education. He has written volumes about his travels for personal reflection. Now, he writes for you with the hope that you will enjoy his story as much as he enjoyed writing it.
