About the Author

Christina Kakumani is a debut author at the young age of 19 years old. She is a first-generation immigrant child, raised in an Indian household. Ms. Kakumani was born in New York but moved to Maryland in 2007. Throughout her life, she had faced many hardships in regards to her homelife and other relationships. She had also been struggling with mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, unspecified eating disorders, insomnia, and PTSD. Nevertheless, she did not let that stop her from achieving her goals in life. In her elementary years, she was in the Howard County Children’s choir, a gifted and talented ensemble. Later in her life, she participated in competitive swimming held at UMBC. She them competed in multiple volleyball championship tournaments around the DMV area. Currently, she is enrolled in the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, completing her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration Technology with aspirations of one day becoming a Project manager in the Federal Government.
