About the Book

God Is Like, is a youth ministry book designed to encourage young readers to be brave, confident and resilient in the face of adversity. It also enables young readers to have an understanding that we serve a God that will never leave us or forsake us at any time and especially during the most challenging and most difficult times within our lives.

About the Author

Donald (Don) Mims is a native of North Augusta, SC. He earned his bachelors degree in education from Limestone College in 1993. He also earned his master’s and education specialist degrees in special education and school administration respectively. He is an ordained youth minister (June 2013) at Foster’s Grove Baptist Church in Chesnee, SC under the leadership and guidance of the Senior Pastor, Rev. Horace Wilson, Jr. He is currently enrolled at Newburg Seminary and Bible College for the purpose of obtaining a doctorial degree in divinity and youth counseling. He is married to the beautiful Mrs. Patrena L. Mims. And to this union, they have two beautiful daughters, Deona age 21 and Lauren age 16. And last, but certainly not least, a special thanks to his parents, extended family members and special friends for their love and support as well.
