About the Book

Aside from all the good times I have had I have often wondered why there is an enormous volume of writing which is the subject of study, criticism and public interest and adulation or even condemnation. What is obvious to me is that the first human requirement is to eat and a substantial proportion of the worlds population seem to be short in that respect. That is naive and unfortunately almost disastrously truthful. The modern way of dealing with innovation is to bury it in company records and only infrequently to push the thing forward to actual patent, resulting in the burial of due credit and a lack of status of the technical pioneer.
