About the Book

These are stories that Ella told her two little girls after she was grown. The girls preferred them to fairy tales at bedtime. They are accurate to the best of my memory. I am Mary Kathleen.

About the Author

During the hardest years of my life after my son was killed in an accident, and my husband had a heart attack, I was able to cling to these stories and remember the better times in my childhood on Grandfathers’ farm. They meant so much to me that I told them to my grandchildren who loved them as much as I did. I would like to share them with you. May you be blessed with the rich history of our young nation in the early 1900’s.
